I like the idea of this, it's another example of everything being turned into a game. We've seen foursquare start to make a game of places and this is pretty much the same idea with going shopping. Location based rewards is the future (man)...
Battle of Britain
Battle of Britain Opportunity
I work for a digital agency called Skive and we were recently commissioned by the BBC to produce a proof of concept for a Battle of Britain online game that would tie in with a BBC TV special commemorating the Battle of Britain. The idea was originally to give viewers the chance to take part in BOB dog fights in real time as they unfolded – only 70 years on. You could call this concept retro-realtime! The game is built in Unity and offers a Playstationesque experience in a couple of seconds loading time in a browser.
In my 7 months at Skive responsible for the award-winning ‘Start Thinking Soldier’ campaign I think this idea is amongst some of the strongest creative we have produced. Unfortunately agency life being what it is, budgets were pulled and the project was left unfinished. However we have an exhilarating playable demo of the raw game that is begging for extra funding.
Here is a video of the game
So, to the point. We’re looking for a brand to pay for the rest of the development and a possibly someone else to host it on their site. A good fit for example would be Rolls Royce and the Telegraph but I’m open to ideas.
Further development of the game would be between £40 and £100K.
I have a playable demo of the game on request so please email tom@skive.co.uk and we can take this forward.
